What are the differences between marine cables and land-based cables?

Author:

The difference between marine cables and land cables. The functional requirements of marine cables are different from those of general cables, especially in terms of moisture resistance, fire resistance and flexibility, and their insulation data are different from those of conventional cross-linked polyethylene and polyvinyl chloride. Most of the certifications for marine cables are foreign certifications. You can find many certifications from classification societies on the Internet. YJV cable refers to a type of power cable commonly used in power distribution systems for land.

If it is a marine YJV cable, it is not called YJV, but CJV.

CJV is XLPE insulated and PVC sheathed. CEFR is ethylene propylene rubber insulated and neoprene sheathed.

  Both are marine power cables.

Unlike YJV, marine cables generally have flame retardant requirements, while generally YJV has no flame retardant regulations.

YJV cables are not allowed to be used for marine use and CEFR can only be used on board with the supervision and approval of the classification society. I don't understand the environmental conditions of marine facilities you mentioned. However, it is certain that YJV cannot be used.
